Search Overview

MarkLogic Server is the industry’s leading XML content platform delivering rich functionality, including search, to power content applications.

MarkLogic Server stores content as XML or free text. As content is loaded, indexes are created on the document’s structure and content. As updates are made to content, even to just a single node of metadata, the indexes are automatically updated and searches subsequent to the update transaction commit will see the new content.
